About Antena

Antena is one of the larger Independent Television Companies, and is a major producer of children's and light entertainment programme's in Wales. Since the original Company (Dime Goch) was established in 1988 the business has grown rapidly and seen a steady increase in the number of hours produced for S4C and other broadcasters. More recently, the Company has developed corporate video and internet web design sectors, ventures which are proving to be very successful.

Caernarfon Offices

The location of Antena's main Office on the banks of the Menai Straits with its world famous Castle and Snowdonia as a backdrop. Antena has its own dedicated studio and production centre, along with edit suites, graphic department and an IT department that is unrivaled. Along with versatile creative expertise, its ability to turn around projects attractively and efficiently is widely recognised, and has led to partnerships with Broadcasters and International programme makers. Its Caernarfon base employs 55 full time staff.

Cardiff

Antena Cardiff is ideally placed at ITV Wales in Culver house Cross on the outskirts of Cardiff. Within minutes of the M4, the main route to London, less than 15 minutes from Cardiff International Airport and of course the main railway connection to London (1hr 45m). The Cardiff Office employs core staff specialising in children's and entertainment programme's, as well As Antena Docs - a programme unit dedicated to documentaries and short films. The Cardiff base supplements establishment with freelance talent appropriate to ongoing productions, and houses a programme and format development unit.

Dimegoch

Dimegoch was formed in 1988 with its base in Caernarfon, North Wales. It has produced programmes across many genres, specialising in Light Entertainment, youth and children’s programming. The 2005 Bafta Award winning and long running magazine programme Uned 5 is still produced under ‘Dimegoch’.

Anttek

In 2006 Antena decided to regroup all its diversifications to aid Clients understanding of the companies expertise. Ant-Tek is a direct result of this and represents Antena’s Technical arm. Ant-tek trades under Antena cyf www.anttek.co.uk.

Antenadocs

ANTENADOCS is a fairly recent departure for Antena, ANTENADOCS is the factual programming arm of the Company and is based in our Cardiff Office. ANTENADOCS have produced various landmark series for the BBC, notably “ Canrif o Brifwyl” (A Century of the Eisteddfod) and “Adar Drycin” (Storm Birds). ANTENADOCS has also co-produced a documentary on the pioneering Welsh map maker, David Thompson with CBC (Canada). All Antena’s factual work for S4C comes in under the Antenadocs brand.

Antlant

Antlant is a company which specializes in making programmes for the younger viewer of nursery and pre school age. The latest commission is a series of 60 programmes called Dwdlam for S4C which targets and educates the younger viewer through the use of puppets, music, cartoons and play.
