S4C’s flagship youth magazine. Has been on air since 1994. It started life as a twice weekly half-hour programme on Tuesday and Thursday. It has now made the early evening slot on Friday (1700-1930) it’s own. In 2006 Uned 5 will transmit episode 1000. Uned 5 is a mixture of entertainment, news, lively discussion, competitions and live bands. Uned 5 has a loyal following and recently had its two millionth website hit in less than a year!

Over the last 12 years Uned 5 has had 16 Presenters, all of whom have gone on to present further programmes for S4C. Indeed, some have gone on to work for the Network, notably Rhodri Owen (Holiday/ Short Change) and Gethin Jones (Blue Peter).

Uned 5, which means Unit 5. It gets its’ name from its own custom built studio in Caernarfon, Gwynedd, which is in Unit 5 on Cibyn Industrial Estate.
